Seriously, it's happened numerous times. I'm just kinda sudsing up, conditioning the hair, and BAM! Revelation!
Today's shower epiphany regarded my snore-fest first chapter. I've known for eons now that it lacked a certain punch, tried rewriting it, adding to it, cutting portions of it, everything. And today, the answer just kinda popped into my head while rinsing my hair. And I am SO excited about it, that I have to now stop procrastinating with this blog and go and write it already :)

Hey, welcome to blogger. I am also a children's book writer - not published yet - namely because I am still working on my first novel. But I've met Ted at the NJ SCBWI Annual Conference and he was the most approachable, easy-going, friendly agent on the panel. That is awesome that he is your agent. When I am done with my novel, I hope I can be so lucky!
I think I saw your link from maybe Danette's blog... can't remember now.
Oh Angie, I put a link to you on my blog... Us children's writers need to stick together...
Hi Sheri! So nice to meet you. I adore Ted!! When he got interested in my novel in March of 2007 I didn't even realize he was a real agent! I queried Nadia at Firebrand, got a response from Ted, and was just psyched someone from the agency wanted to see my stuff :) Wow, has he become THE agent to snag, or what?? I'll put a link to you on my site, too, we do need to stick together!
Thanks for the link.
I emailed you...
BAM! haha! Now you've got to take showers all the time and get a waterproof dictaphone. Linked you!
Hey Angie, Welcome to Blogger! I love it so much better than LJ!
My best writing ideas appear when I'm fishing--that is, if the fish aren't biting.
It's funny! I was in the shower the other day - well, I am in the shower everyday, but the other day WHEN I was in the shower - an idea struck and I thought of you and your shower epiphanies...
That's happened to me before--probably all of us writers! For me, they occur most often while vacuuming.
I vacuumed today Rebecca and thought of you - but no ideas came.
I realized I have been thinking too much - a writer's curse!
