I'm on Twitter!

It took me a while, but yes, I have succumbed to Twitter. Come follow me

In other writerly news, I'm back into my newest WIP and loving being able to work on something that is NOT under contract. I feel such a freedom right now. This new project is like nothing I've attempted--two, alternating first-person POVs, violence, sex (nothing gratuitous of course!), a made-up world. I'm giving myself permission to go too far, write messy, go off on tangents, etc... all to figure out what the story needs, and what it doesn't. There are no expectations right now from agent or editor, so it's all good.

Twitter can be fun, but I totally have to limit myself on it :)

I totally understand about the WIP--mine is in first person and also in alternating viewpoints....a weird experiment in writing that's oddly working for me.

Yay for writing experiments! I think it's working for me too...of course, I could be delusional at this point :-)

Okay - I saw your post on Shelli's blog and I am dying to know if you like Twitter??!! It sounds awful to me.

Are you inundated by tweets all day long? Do they come to your phone? Or your email?

Tell me the BEST thing about it and the WORST thing.

Good luck with the WIP!!

Katie, good questions. I don't feel inundated by Tweets at all, since they don't pop up in my email (I don't use a blackberry or iphone). To see replies to my tweets I actually have to go to my twitter site, and check it. The Best thing: being able to see all the random thoughts of cool people like Neil Gaiman and Maureen Johnson. The Worst thing: getting caught up in all the tweets while I'm there and losing time actually writing!
